Frequently Asked Questions

Dual WAN Routers

A dual WAN router is one that that has multiple WAN (incoming) ports available for multiple Internet Access accounts (Broadband, ADSL, Cellular, etc). Essential to this function is a software capability that will let the router automatically switch accounts (depending on the limits set by the technician).  This function has two distinct benefits.  First, it saves money by keeping the main broadband account under the data limit set by the provider (usually 250gb, before overage charges begin). Second, it allows a smaller sub-network setup for the public WIFI system, thereby limiting customers use to email, text messaging, etc.

Android HDTV STB (Set Top Box)

Think of an STB as a mini computer with a multiple core, a CPU, a GPU, RAM memory, and built-in Data storage memory.  These tiny mini-PC’s come with 2, 3, or 4 Gigabytes of RAM, with 2-cores, 4 cores, or 8 cores. They have as much power as desk-top PC’s of just a few years ago, and are capable of streaming video and audio in HD in 720p, 1080p, and 4k.
